Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri Dixit is a well-known Indian actor, known for her performances in the movies Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Haiin Koun..! In the 80s the actress began her acting career and became popular with the role of Tezaab, in which she starred with the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. In the following film, she was a part of Aamir as part of Dil. In Mumbai, she was raised in a family of middle-class parents. When she was a young age, she began to take dance lessons. As a teenager she started acting, and struggled for years due to the fact that her first films were failures. Her fame grew and she became one of India's top film actresses. After marriage, she experienced a career break before reentering the business. She was a key character on Gulaab Gang, a film that explores the struggles of women in India. Dixit was nominated 15 times in the Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of them. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian prize awarded to civilians in India, was bestowed upon her. The award was also given to her for her work in the field of social work.
